For that "something extra special" for yourself or as a gift for someone special, consider ordering one of our San Diego photographs printed on "artists canvas", "textured fine art paper", or satin finish giclee paper. Standard photographic prints have a projected life span of approximately 25 years if framed behind UV blocking glass and kept out of direct sunlight. Our fine art prints have a projected life span of 200+ years if kept out of direct sunlight.

Fine Art Printing System: Our fine art prints are created on a high quality giclee printing system using specially formulated pigment inks and coatings designed to enhance the appearance and prolong the life of the completed work of art. Canvas prints can be ordered "unmounted" or "mounted with gallery wrap".

THE PROCESS: The photograph you've chosen is optimized for the media you selected and the print is generated. After drying for 24 hours the print is inspected by the artist. If you ordered a limited edition print, the artist will sign and number the print after inspecting it. The print is then sealed with two coats of Art Shield and UV block. This protects the print from water, dust, and fingerprints and also extends the life of your fine art print. After drying an additional 24 hours your fine art print on satin finish giclee paper or textured fine art paper is shipped to you in a shipping tube. Your print will arrive via insured US Postal Service Priority Mail.

Prints-on-canvas go through a slightly different process. Your print will dry for 24 hours and is then coated with two layers of canvas print sealant and allowed to dry. After an additional 24 hours, the canvas print is coated with two layers of clear UV lacquer to set the sealant and to add UV protection and again allowed to dry. After an additional 24 hours of drying time, the print-on-canvas is ready for delivery and is shipped to you via insured U.S. Priority Mail rolled up in a cardboard shipping tube. Stretched and mounted canvas prints are shipped in a custom box via UPS. There is less chance of a print arriving damaged if it is shipped rolled up. For this reason we recommend that stretching and mounting of canvas prints be done at the receiving end rather than at our end.

Throughout the creation process your print will go through several rounds of inspection and quality control. If a print doesn't pass inspection, it is destroyed and the process begins again. Each fine art print is a high quality work of art and your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Due to the number of steps involved and cost of materials used in the creation of a fine art print, the cost is generally 25% - 100% more than a standard photographic print of the same size. Fine art prints are individually printed so any size you desire up to 40 X 60 inches is possible. Panoramic prints up to 10 ft. in width are also possible.

The photograph on the right was taken at a wedding reception where the groom presented one of my fine art prints on canvas to his blushing bride. His wedding gift was a custom print-on-canvas commemorating the first time they met with a "painting" of the location where they first set eyes on one another. A very romantic moment.
